DNS (/dns) is the Lattice-managed zone screen. Admin can write. You only need this in published lattice-dns or hidden-primary mode. DNS modes.
- Create a zone (SOA/NS, mbox, serial, refresh/retry/expire/minimum).
- Select the zone.
- Add a static record: name, type (default
A), rdata, TTL (default 300). Types in the product: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, SRV, CAA.
Lease-derived A/AAAA appear in the next table for FQDNs in that zone with state=leased. They are not static records. Expire/release removes them.
lattice-dns is authoritative only. Recursion is off. Point a subnet’s DDNS adapter at embedded so grants show up. If you only run BIND or AD, you may never open this screen. lattice-dns.
