You were given a Lattice operator (or readonly) token and a URL. You do not SSH to Ubuntu, edit netplan, or restart Docker. If someone sent you sudo commands, that is an admin job — windows-admin / troubleshooting.
The long form is the user manual Jobs chapter: manuals/user. In-console: Help. This page is the short form for someone who only has an operator token.
1. Search, then Work
Header search (⌘K): IP, MAC (colons, hyphens, Cisco dotted, 12-hex), hostname, CIDR. Lands on the object.
Work is the ticket queue:
| Queue | Typical call |
|---|---|
| Why NAK | “DHCP isn’t working” but they got a refusal |
| Relays | Silence — helper unknown or giaddr not in a subnet |
| Wrong MAC | Printer reservation, different device using the IP |
| DNS | Has an IP, no name (Ack never waited) |
| Hostnames | Two hp-01s fighting DDNS |
| Squatters | Address pings, IPAM never heard of it |
| Stale | Reservation nobody has used in ~90 days |
Empty Work is the goal. Never “reclaim all” from a queue.
2. Who had this IP last Tuesday?
More → History. Paste the IP, MAC, hostname, or a switch port (Gi1/0/12). Lattice detects which. Occupancy is lease rows, not Audit.
- Who occupied
.55, and who has it now - As of a calendar day on this computer, or an RFC3339 instant
- Which NICs a hostname has used; where a MAC has been
- What sat on this switch port (option 82). Relays have to send it. A remote-id is
?remote=on the URL. - The whole subnet last Tuesday: subnet As of on the address map (end of that day, or now if today; plan overlay is current)
CSV is the hold table. Readonly can look. Longer form: History.
3. Force-release
Leases → the row → Release → Confirm. Inventory returns to free (or still reserved). DNS delete is queued. The name may linger a minute. That is expected.
You cannot “kick Windows DHCP.” There is no partner server. ha is admin.
4. Give a printer a fixed IP
Subnet → Add address → DHCP client. MAC + IP. reservations. Escalate if you cannot open Add address (readonly) or the IP is excluded.
5. What to put in the ticket before you ping an admin
- Console URL and your role (
you · operatorin the header) - Subnet CIDR, MAC, IP, hostname
- Screenshot of Overview (alerts + outbox lag) and Work if a number is non-zero
- “Silence” vs “NAK” vs “has IP, no name” — those are three different bugs
Do not paste lattice_live_… tokens.
